Going Through It To Get To It

Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you: Matthew 7:7

Hello my friends!, It has been an interesting week! The enemy has been working hard trying to get me to go back to old habits such as drinking and trying to get me to forget about doing work for my Lord and Savior. I just keep telling the enemy to "SHUT UP"  and I continue to move forward in my christian life because this is the path I chose to follow and will continue to follow. I hear the whispers in my ear "you sure wouldn't mind having a cold beer right now wouldn't you" I say NO! because not only it would not be good for my health but I made a vow not to drink anymore. My wife Saturday night told me that God was trying to talk to me through her, so I turned the television off, cleared my head and I heard God telling me to "go out to the world and do my works." I looked up and quietly said "yes heavenly father, I will do what you ask of me." I know we have been through so much for the past two years but I believe you have to go through storms to get to the good times. I know by faith and God leading the way, we will get better not only financially but be better people for it. We have to go through it to get to it.

Thank you and God Bless You!

The Journey Continues

1 The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want. 2 He makes me lie down in green pastures; he leads me beside still waters; 3 he restores my soul. He leads me in right paths for his name's sake. 4 Even though I walk through the darkest valley, I fear no evil; for you are with me; your rod and your staff— they comfort me. 5 You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies; you anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows. 6 Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life, and I shall dwell in the house of the Lord my whole life long. Psalms 23 Hi everybody! I am sorry I have not written anything in the past two weeks. I have had a lot on my mind and my heart. I have the enemy making me doubt myself and my abilities on several things such as being a good husband, son, father, friend and overall a good person. I know I have made mistakes in my life but who hasn't. I have stumbled but the trick is to get back up and put my feet back on the path of righteousness. We all, have to go through it to get to it. The only perfect person who walked the earth was Jesus Christ. His blood has washed away not only my sins but everybody's as well. I get frustrated with our financial situation, my health situation but I know in my heart that things will be much
better in the days to come because I trust in my lord and savior and he has never let me down. I realize that I am a good husband, son, father, friend and a great person who has the ability to do many good things on this earth as long as I have God in my heart and on my side, the sky is the limit.

Thanks for reading!, God Bless and keep you!

housekeepers

This guest post from Lenny Mcknight
After our wonderful housekeeper who worked in our home for fifteen years retired last June, I had a horrible time trying to find a new one. I checked with every cleaning service in town. Not one of the cleaning services offered the type of cleaning and tidying that I needed done in the house everyday. They would offer partial services and charged a ton of money. One service I contacted said that cleaning for two hours a day would be three hundred dollars… who can afford that?! I went through referrals from friends and family. No one seemed to work out. It made me nervous having people in my home and knowing my alarm code. I got in touch with our company Home security 101 . They told me about a feature of my home security system that I did not know about. The keypad for the system can hold more than one alarm code. My family and I use the master code. When I have a housekeeper in my home, I have them use a temporary code. The temporary codes can be cancelled at anytime and also changed at anytime. It is a helpful feature.

I Am Thankful To My Lord And Savior

Blessed is he that considereth the poor: the Lord will deliver him in times of trouble. Psalms 41:1

 Welcome back my friends!

I have had a week where the enemy has been working overtime whispering in my ear to try to shake my faith in our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. I have told Satan "to get thee behind me, I'm not falling for your tricks today, tomorrow or any day!!" You would think that I would be down about my health and financial situation, but I am not because yesterday, as I do every morning, I say a prayer giving thanks for letting me see another day and praying for my wife, children, my late mother, my dad, my family and friends. I was shaving and I heard a voice telling me that I really a good person, and I am going to come out of this storm a better, stronger person who has a great testimony to tell the world and something great is going to happen that will blow my mind. I thought to myself, "WOW" I have heard this before from our pastor and deacons of the church but It really sunk in this time. I told my wife what I heard and she agreed. I am still battling diabetes, and depression but with the word of God and my strong faith I am not depressed anymore and I praise him everyday and every way I can.

Thank you for reading and be Blessed!
